OBJECTIVE

• How does a Design Manager, through observing, analyzing, and theorizing, see the social revolution and converging of cultures to be used “for good?”
• My focus was on our development ages and how we are continuously growing and where we have come to now. I also directed my studies to the new social network microblog, Twitter.
Disney Imagineering Case Study – Spring 2009
• As a personal interest I wanted to dig deep into the creations of theme parks and what really makes the attraction. I also assisted in creating a new syllabus for a class to be taught in the Sequential Art department on them park design.
SCAD Innovation Class – Fall 2008
• What is an innovation? It is not an invention. An innovation is the product or process that embodies an invention in
a form by which it can be utilized. Innovation brings value to a product and making it both usable and needed.
• Herty – We as a team collaborated creating a vision for a Greater Savannah creative cluster
• Wii – I conducted a case study on the Wii game console as a successful innovation
SCAD Collaboration at a Distance – Fall 2008
• For 9 months I collaborated with a team of 6 form around the globe. We chose to study social networking in an online sports betting forum. Our ultimate goal was to CoolHunt (predict) the winner of the 2009 NFL Super bowl. Not only were we successful but we were also accepted to present our unique process and data at the INSNA Sunbelt Conference held in San Diego, CA March 2009. Prior to our team project we were also introduced to the
COIN concept, collaborative online interacting networks. From this experience I have moved forward in more social network research.

SCAD Sustainable Design – Summer 2008
• In efforts to understand sustainability and sustainable design we worked with a local business owner in Savannah, The Trustees Garden and Farmer D Organics to build a more sustainable Savannah. My team focused on a visual representation that would be made from recycled materials and allow the Savannah community to build together.
SCAD Innovation Class – Summer 2008
• One of my first opportunities to direct my own team. We were asked y Kicker Car Audio to design personal listening devices, headphones. The car audio industry is it a plateau and they also wanted a strategic plan on how to move forward. I directed a team of designers and also helped develop a new game plan and brand extension for Kicker. They are in motion to push these ideas forward today.
